In this chapter you learn about each of the different statements and how they work together to help understand a company's financial records. We need this chapter to help understand what we are reading. There's no point putting a pile of income statements in front of you and saying read this and understand what they mean. You need to understand why we have an income statement and where each of the different parts come from.
